Batteries and Charging on The Jazzy Select 6 Power Chair
In the Pride Jazzy Select 6 Powerchair, there are two long-lasting 12-volt deep-cycle batteries. These particular batteries are sealed and maintenance-free. Deep-cycle batteries are specifically designed for mobility aid tye devices because they can handle the longer discharge.
Battery charges will take a standard electrical outlet voltage and then converts it to a 24V DC. It is recommended by Pride that you charge your battery daily if you use the electric wheelchair daily. As soon as you are finished using the power chair then charge it.
If you use the power chair once a week or less you should charge the batteries at least once per week for at least 24 hours.

For mobility products which are not used regularly, or during periods of storage prior to and after purchase date, batteries must be charged once a week, for 24 hours. Failure to do so will void battery warranty.
